Owen Campbell is one of the premiere Blues/Roots/Rock performers both domestically and internationally.
At the end of 2016 Owen found not only 1 but 2 of his albums in the USA iTunes Blues Charts (Sunshine Road #4, Breathing Bullets #22). Even in late 2018, these two albums are still charting with Owen having three albums in the iTunes Australian Blues charts repeatedly throughout the year.
The lead up to this breakthrough has been years of grinding tours worldwide to audiences in the USA, Germany, Holland, Denmark, Austria, France, Switzerland and Japan, clocking up tens of millions of YouTube hits and thousands of album sales in the process.
Newcastle-based Campbell, a slide guitarist, songwriter, banjo player, blues singer, busker and more, debuted strongly back in 2011 on the back of a controversial and popular stint on Australia’s Got Talent, with his album Sunshine Road topping Australian iTunes charts and gaining up over 2 million YouTube views in the process. The 2013/14 album release The Pilgrim, which again debuted atop the iTunes Blues charts in Australia, Canada, and New Zealand, yielded three Top Ten hits on the Australian Blues Singles chart, also being released with record label Reckless Grace Music in the US. Latest album release ‘Breathing Bullets’ consistently charts in the Australian and US iTunes charts.
