Girrakool Blues Festival and BBQ is striving towards a totally green & sustainable event.
The following are already in place, things like –
Food stall holders were asked to only use compostible and bio-degradable products.
The bar uses single wall waxed paper cups for wine, that could be composted. Beer is in cans that can be recycled, and wine is in glass bottles that can also be recycled.
Water re-fill stations are provided to fill water bottles for free
Vegetable inks were used on T-shirt merchandise.

2018 – Kariong Eco Gardens
In helping with our recycling program, the Kariong Eco Gardens donated their time in sorting and collecting the plastic, glass, and cans from the event.
They then exchanged them and all money collected went back to the gardens.
